To fight the rapid depletion of plant life on Earth, scientists develop a new chemical to promote the reproduction of a plants’ cells under harsh environmental conditions.

But when the formula awakens the plants’ intelligence, the scientists discover they are no longer in control as the vegetation begins to over-populate and quickly engulfs the planet. As the global green tide rises, causing the disappearance of most of the world’s population, a team of soldiers and scientists risk their lives, determined to stop mother nature’s revenge before humanity becomes the latest of the Earth’s inhabitants to become extinct.
