Overworked and struggling with drug addiction, Bowie headed to Berlin in 1975 for relief from the stresses of LA life. He lived with Iggy Pop, who was in a similarly dishevelled state. Nonetheless, Bowie produced a series of albums in Berlin that arguably rank among his best.
