This is a wonderful documentary (two, really) of the infamous a girl Cuban dance band popular since the 1930s. Contains vintage clips, photos and audio as well as recent interviews, in Cuba, with original band members. It is wonderful to see an 80-ish Ondina Castro pick up her trumpet and play with feeling. this DVD is made up of two parts. The first is called Havana Girl Orchestra - A Cuban family chronicle which is a documentary film that runs 45 minutes. The second part is called Ten Sisters of Rhythm which is 40 minutes of band music by Anacaona.
