Chiaroscuro Quartet: Alina Ibragimova, Pablo Hernán Benedí (Violine), Emilie Hörnlung (Viola), Claire Thirion (Cello) // String Quartet No.10, nicknamed 'Harp' because of its abundant pizzicati in its first movement, is a unproblematic work and has remained one of the composer's best-loved. No.13 instead is in a very different vein. Belonging to the series of so-called 'late quartets' composed 1824-26, it is a six-movement structure modelled on a XVIIIth c. divertimento.
