the bbc symphony orchestra and chorus, under the baton of their conductor laureate sir andrew davis, formed the backbone of the two hour classical concert - prom at the palace - on june 1st.

bbc worldwide will donate proceeds from its commercial activity surrounding the jubilee concerts to the queen elizabeth 2 golden jubilee trust.
