• Best Album of the Year

  First of all, this is absolutely stunning: Dan's voice is chillingly perfect, the melodies are fantastically haunting, and the lyrics are beautifully poetic and enchanting.
  
  Bastille's songs are laced with simple rhythms but filled with haunting melodies that leave the listener still enveloped and entranced even after the song has ended.
  Most bands are directly relatable to ones from the past, Bastille is not at all like this. It's fresh, new, and amazing as its subtle influences are many great ones. I'd also like to point out that so many of the songs are emotively based off of past events and fiction such as Icarus, Weight of Living Pt 1 (hidden track), Laura Palmer, Daniel in the Den, and Pompeii. What other artist has been able to put past stories and events to music and still reach the top of the charts?
  
  So, all in all, best album of the year, no doubt. Five stars from me.

• Geniales Album

  Mir persönlich gefällt das Album 'All This Bad Blood' ausgesprochen gut. Die klare und kräftige Stimme von Frontmann Dan Smith und die tollen Lyrics haben es mir angetan. Nicht nur die 'Radiohits' sind hörenswert, es lohnt sich auch, sich weniger bekannte Songs wie 'Haunt' oder 'Durban Skies' anzuhören. Neben ihren eigenen Songs, haben Bastille zudem zwei überzeugende Covers (Of the night & What would you do) von ihren zwei im Internet veröffentlichten Mixtapes (Other People's Heartache Pt. I & II) in's Album gepackt.
  Momentan gehört die Band definitiv zu meinen Favoriten und ist auch live genauso überzeugend wie auf dem Album.

  Nach all dem anderen Schunt von Bastille läuft jetzt auch noch dieses elende 'Rythm of the night'-Cover auf repeat im Radio. Sehr fantasievoll, einfach mal die Verzerrer und Voice-Coder drüber laufen lassen...sollte boykottiert werden!

• Folkig/entspannt

  Auch das neuste Werk von Bastille kommt leichtfüssig und zuversichtlich gestimmt daher. Mir macht dieser Sound gute Laune. Das muss nicht allen so ergehen. Zuweilen erinnert mich die Band sogar an Patent Ochsner.
  Meinem Mitrezensenten indes empfehle ich, sich zu Musik zu äussern und dem Sänger aufgrund seiner Stimme zu unterstellen, er "sei wohl anders herum". Weg damit

  ist mir zu theatralisch inszeniert. die stimme des sängers ist schlimm, die musik lachhaft, geht einem wirklich auf den keks. v.a. popeii kratzt am nervenstrang. denke der sänger ist wohl anders herum.
