Description

Set in Manhattan in 1916, the film follows thief Peter Lake who meets Beverly Penn, a young woman he is about to rob. Instead, he begins to talk to her and they soon fall in love but he later discovers that she is terminally ill. Meanwhile, Peter is being pursued by his old boss, ruthless gangster Pearly Soames, to whom he owes a debt, but he is saved by a white horse and finds himself transported into the future. Suffering from amnesia, Peter encounters Virginia Gamely who helps him to recall his past and, driven by his love for Beverly, he tries to find a way to bring her back to life.

Die Szenen mit Will Smith als Teufel finde ich auch etwas überflüssig, dafür sind die restlichen Charakteren und gewisse Dialoge fantastisch. Allgemein finde ich den Film sehr schön.

Habe den Film gekauft - und wurde mehrheitlich enttäuscht. Dieser Film hat nichts Magisches an sich. Leider. Auch Will Smith als Teufel, nein danke! Schade...

das ist wirklich ein Märchen....wer also keine Lust auf Fantasy hat, sollte die Finger vom Film lassen.
