Liberamente tratto dal Don Chisciotte, il film narra la storia dell`eroe di Cervantes dal punto di vista di Rucio, l`asino di Sancho Panza. Il celebre cavaliere sognatore della Mancha non è affatto pazzo! Anzi, è un uomo d`azione intelligente ed entusiasta, pronto a tutto per sconfiggere il Cavaliere della Luna e scoprire la vera identità della sua amata Dulcinea. Ad aiutarlo, il suo fedele aiutante Sancho Panza e Ronzinante, il suo cavallo. Una vicenda d`armi e d`amore, di viaggi, avventure, grandi amicizie... e naturalmente un mondo di divertimento !
