wer sich diesen film antun will, braucht starke nerven. total verworrene und zerfetzte story. obwohl eigentlich als eine art sequel gedacht zum (und im direkten vergleich geradezu brillanten) Lord of the Rings trickfilm von Bakshi, ist hier kaum struktur oder nachvollziehbare story erkennbar. alle 3 komma 6 minuten wird gesungen, Sam's allmachtfantasien werden ins unendliche und opernhafte gestreckt und nicht mal die Orks mit ihrem überhit "where there's a whip there's a way" vermögen es, den braten fett zu machen. wohl nur für extremtolkienfreaks von historischem interesse.
