In May of 2005, Cream returned to London`s Royal Albert Hall-to the same stage where they had completed what was thought to be their final performance in 1968. It was one of the most eagerly anticipated, hard-to-get tickets in rock history. With the exception of a brief reunion set at their 1993 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Cream had not played together in nearly four decades.

This DVD documents Cream`s momentous London shows. Performances from each of the four nights are featured-classic material like 'Badge', 'I'm So Glad', 'Crossroads', 'Sunshine Of Your Love`, "White Room", and much more. Also included are alternate performances and interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton.

Cream formed in 1966 and disbanded in 1968. In just under three years, the band produced three seminal studio albums, Fresh Cream (1966), Disraeli Gears (1967), and Wheels Of Fire (1968) and secured worldwide acclaim and commercial success with their unique take on electrified blues. The band were a prolific and thrilling live act and toured incessantly in their short but remarkable history.

- One of the most anticipated concert events of all time, with fans attending from all over the world, tickets selling for thousands of dollars, and a global media phenomenon covered by Rolling Stone, New York Times, L.A. Times, CBS Early Show, Howard Stern, and much more.
- Cream are considered Rock`s first supergroup, and though they were together just
under three years, they have sold over 35 million records
- DVD features a complete set made up of the best performances from each show along with eight alternates-all shot in breathtaking HD, presented up close in the elegant and intimate Royal Albert Hall.
- Illuminating in-depth interviews with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton provide insight into the legendary group.
- Cream will make their only appearance in North America, with no tour planned, when they play Madison Square Garden October 24, 25, and 26, 2005.

  • sie könnens immer noch

Written on 26. October 2006 by Beat Schaufelberger.
